Generally planning permission will be required when;
Constructing a new building or other structure, e.g. house, garage, etc.
Changing an existing building or property, e.g. an extension, a new floor, etc.
Changing the way in which a property is used, e.g. to change a house into a workshop.
There are some cases where planning permission may not be required, and this is referred to as 'exempt development'.
Keenan Lynch Architecture can offer clear advice in relation to whether a planning permission is required for a proposed project.
