Belgrove Boys School Clontarf Complete  Belgrove Boys Senior and Junior School reopened at the start of September, with the building works complete. After a period of 20 months of phased works, which included maintaining a live school complex, staff and students were able to return from summer holiday to a permanent modern facility.
The new environment is conducive to educating to the highest level in a bright and efficient complex. |

House Renovation Killiney  Works are progressing on the renovation of a large house in Killiney for a private client.
Originally built in the 50's, it has remained largely unchanged since then. The time has now come to replace the services, windows and generally upgrade insulation and layout internally.
The proposals include introducing natural light to some rooms, and general future proofing. |

Land Registry Mapping  With compulsory registratiion of titles now required to Dublin (and other counties)we are carrying out Land Registry Mapping, mainly through solicitors.
We provide an efficient service ensuring that original titles are accurately mapped to Property Registration Authority standards |

Hurling Training Wall Naomh Olaf GAA Club Site Works have commenced for the costruction of an all weather hurling training wall facility at Naomh Olaf GAA Club in Sandyford.
This will provide an excellent facility for developing the skills of players at all levels. |

Refurbishment of Protected Structure  Works are completed on a refurbisment and upgrading of a house on Upper Leeson Street, a Protected Structure. This includes sensitive refurbishment of the historical features including windows and roof.
The Ground floor has been renovated to introduce more light and enhance the area as family kitchen and living area. Works have also been carried out to connect the living areas to the rear garden.

Belgrove Boys Schools Clontarf  Phase 1 of the project is now complete. The Next Phase consists of a new block of 8 classrooms for the Senior School.
The final phase will be the refurbishment and alterations to the existing buildings, all to be complete for Autumn 2012.

Reconstructed house at Stillorgan  KLA have redesigned and coordinated the reconstruction of a house originally built in 2007. Original fixtures and fittings were salvaged for reuse, and the house reduced to top of foundation level, and rebuilt with the original features reutilised. The project, now nearing final sign off, is being brought in below the budget cost. The reasons for the need to carry out the work are part of an ongoing legal action involving the original architect.

Belgrove Boys School Clontarf  Works are progressing apace, with Phase 1 up to roof level. The phased project is to allow continuing occupation of the school. The new Junior school is set to be occupied in the Autumn, after which works will commence on the new Senior school classrooms. During this summer period some works are being carried out within the existing junior school.
The project is due for completion in the summer of 2012.

Equestrian Centre and Training School  Keenan Lynch Architecture have been appointed as Architects for the above. The development includes a 60 metre x 40 metre indoor arena and associated stabling, administration block and grass paddocks. |

St. John the Baptist School, Clontarf  The Renovation and extension of Belgrove Boys Junior and Senior Schools in Clontarf commenced on site. Midland Construction successfully won the tender. Phase 1 consists of demolition of a portion of the original buildings and the Construction of 10 new classrooms for the Junior School.
The programme envisages phased completion and occupation and is being carried out facilitating the continuing operation of the existing schools.
The Project Team includes Fergal Coghlan & Associates (Quantity Surveyors), O'Connor Sutton Cronin (Structural Engineers) and O'Callaghan Engineering (M&E).

Insurance Reinstatement Valuation With the reduction in building costs we are currently reviewing the Reinstatement Valuation on a number of individual houses and apartment complexes. This ensures that the properties are adequately insured, and are, in most cases, reducing the insurance premiums |

Home Energy Saving We are also advising clients in relation to the upgrading of their homes in respect of insulation and/or heating installations.
We are advising our clients to have an initial inspection of the premises so that the most effective cost solution and sustainable works package for the upgrading of their homes is achieved prior to the issue of a final BER Rating in line with SEI recommendations on completion.

Des Lynch Memorial Cup This year's annual event was held at the Swords Open on the 18th September 2010 and raised €1000 for The Cancer Hospice. Despite the damp conditions a great day was had by all with congratulations going to the team lead by Paul Duff of Broadmeadow Country House. House Griffith Avenue Planning Permission has been obtained for a house off Griffith Avenue. The clients had been attempting to get permission since 2001, with several refusals. KLA were then commissioned and achieved the permission required in a period of 10 months, including a Third Party Appeal. |

Building Energy Rating (BER) From the 1st of January 2009 a Building Energy Rating (BER) Certificate will be compulsory for all homes being sold or rented. Keenan Lynch Architecture would be happy to advise in relation to BER certification. |
